Transition to Fully Online Payments for Licenses and Debits
The Department of Imports and Exports Control has introduced online payment facilities through the LankaPay Payment Platform in collaboration with commercial banks to provide a secure, efficient, and convenient payment service for licenses and debits.
We are also pleased to inform you that the majority of commercial banks have already completed the required technological advancements to facilitate this.
Accordingly, manual payments will be discontinued with effect from the 1st of September 2026.
Further commercial banks have been informed to take necessary actions to undertake necessary system enhancements in order to facilitate this before the 31st of August.
Customers are kindly requested to make the necessary arrangements before the 31st of August 2026.
